Na’ama was born and raised in Israel, in a little town called Arad near the Dead Sea in the south. After graduating high school, she joined the IDF and served as an officer in the field intelligence unit. After three years in the IDF and two long overseas trips, Na’ama began studying at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in a multi-disciplinary BA program called PPE (Political science, Philosophy, and Economics). Along with her studies, she worked as a guide in the Knesset and the Supreme Court, specializing in various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and volunteering in different kinds of programs. Na’ama has a big love and experience with the American Jewish community: A delegator to the US from “Partnership 2000” when she was 17; A Ramah Summer Camp counselor; intern for the Israeli-American organization “StandWithUs”; A NFTY summer group leader in Israel and Europe and more. Na’ama is a former community developer who worked at the Jerusalem youth center in designing, implementing, and supporting the Armon Hanatziv Neighborhood (population over 18,000) with social and business projects for young families. In the last two years, Na’ama was the Israeli Shlicha (Emissary) for the Jewish Community Center in Northern Virginia. Na’ama is married to Omer Gold, an Israeli economist, and is a mother to Gefen Gold.
